APW – Ball Illinois, Official Standard, Grade 810, 23J, 16S, white gold-filled OF original Ball Official RR Standard stirrup bow case with beautiful and unusual pattern engraving to rear, white enamel SS dial, distinctive fancy skeletonized hour and minute hands correct to Ball Illinois production, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#B801535. From known examples it appears that the total production of the Ball Illinois Grade 810 was likely 3200 made. Mvt: GRO, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces with some mild fine and micro-fine scratches; dial with some very faint hls, minuscule flaking to rim of center hole; near mint hands, minute with some small spots of bluing loss; case bezel has a handscratched serial number that does not correspond to the serial number of the band and rear but its superb condition and pattern engraving are entirely consistent with remainder of case so we suspect this may simply be a factory assembly error, case shows virtually no wear, no dents or dings, superb crisp engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows virtually no wear; good thick glass crystal.
